I think everyone has a different purpose.
I truly believe there is no “right” way to live and love.
I believe it is our cultural diversity that makes our world perfectly balanced.
I don’t believe we are defined by our past, so we shouldn’t define others by theirs.
I find religion harshly judges others, but don’t believe all religious people do.
I love yoga and meditation, but sometimes struggle to practice it daily.
I love old school hip hop, everything disco, and sometimes wish I was a hippie living in the 60’s.
I will never pass on an opportunity to recite a line from a sitcom if the moment presents itself.
I often need alone time and realize I’m both introverted and extroverted.
I don’t believe anyone should do anything they’re told if it doesn’t feel right to them.
Eating healthy is very important to me, but I don’t always do it.
I am fascinated by quantum physics, energy work, and our Universe.
Being sensitive is a strength.
I don’t watch a lot of news nor am I up on all things current and political – some say that makes me uninformed, but it can feel overwhelmingly negative and hopeless, and so I know my limits.
Sometimes people tell me I don’t face reality enough, and I take that as a compliment.
I need to be better at tending to my needs first, otherwise I easily fall into “martyr” territory.
My boundaries need to be managed constantly. So do my expectations.
If you believe you’re right, you are.
If you have to defend yourself to someone, you’ve lost.
Always trust your gut.
I believe healing comes in all forms – traditional and alternative. It’s not one or the other, but it all starts with our thoughts.
We need to not only be kinder to others, we need to think kindly of others too.
But we first need to think and be kinder to ourselves.
Formal education is not for everyone, but I think it is crucial we never stop learning.
I question everything and I don’t think that’s a bad thing.
I love to dress up, go for fancy dinners, have cocktails and go dancing, but I also dream of living on an island where I spend my days practicing yoga, meditating and reading.
I think regret serves no purpose but still battle feelings of it.
I think worry serves no purpose but still battle feelings of it.
I often worry what others think of me.
I don’t fit into any box, label or “type” – and after 20+ years of trying to figure out where I belonged, that realization was my awakening, and owning it was my healing.
It’s why I’ve decided to make it my life’s work. It doesn’t mean I don’t struggle, fall on my ass, or have old habits and conditioning that contradict those beliefs at times. It also doesn’t mean you have to align with my thinking in order for us to connect and want the best for each other.
I think the whole point of life is to keep defining what it is we desire, who we want to be, and what we want to do – and those desires will be different for every. single. person.
ZENspired is about PEOPLE empowerment.
It’s about SELF empowerment.
It’s about love.

Hello fellow heart leader! I don’t know you, but your post showed up on my FB feed via Adam. Thank you for sharing these words – they resonate so deeply with me. I feel nourished! It’s like the things I’ve always known about myself but have struggled to articulate. How beautiful a mirror you are (*cue baby yoda voice*). Thank you! Em
